Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The six questions cover gender, date of birth, general health, tobacco use, coverage amount and term length—that's sufficient to produce carrier rates. Your name, address and detailed health information are only requested if you decide to move forward with an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
These are the premiums each carrier quotes for the health rating you selected. Your actual premium will be established by the carrier following their underwriting evaluation, which may adjust the rating up or down. This site makes no offer of insurance and does not guarantee any rate or rate class.
What happens when I click Apply?
After you enter your name, an application is prepared using the exact quote you selected, then continues on the secure platform operated by the carriers. You're able to pause and continue later, and all signing happens electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed agency (License 0B75129), oversees the process.
Will I need a medical exam?
That depends on the specific carrier, the coverage amount, and your medical history. Some carriers offer accelerated approval for qualified applicants without an exam; others may require one. Each quote indicates whether an exam is required, may be required, or is not required for that particular product.
Is a longer term better?
A longer term covers more years but costs more monthly. Choose a term that protects the years you're most vulnerable: mortgage payoff, child dependency, a business commitment. The quote tool lets you evaluate 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year options side by side.
Does this site sell my information?
No. Your answers to the quote tool don't collect contact details, and we don't sell or share any visitor information. Our analytics are cookieless and privacy-respecting. Visit the privacy page for the complete technical details.
